Camden is a police officer who happens to be an ex-playboy. He first noticed Steph at his sister’s bakery and was smitten from first sight. He then met her at his best friend's house (who happens to be Steph’s bestie's husband) and he knew that she is the one that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Both have difficult pasts but together they come out stronger!
I quickly fell in love with these characters. Camden is a sweet talking hottie who knows what he wants even when he needs to take things slow not to scare Steph away. Steph was an inspiration - leaving the abusive relationship that so many struggle to do. It was great seeing her character grow and regain her confidence. It was great seeing her defend herself when she needed to.
I did enjoy the ending - what a twist! And can I just say that Haley is a complete bad a$$!!! However, it did seem a little rushed but that didn’t take away from my love of this book. I can’t believe that this is only K.L. Mott’s second book! I will be going back to read Mason and will be patiently(not so much) awaiting the next book!
