Little Free Libraries!

I absolutely love the idea of the Little Free Library! You can check go here for details!

Both of the parks that I walk at each have one but I hadn't used them until this week. I kept forgetting to bring books with me to exchange and I know you can just grab a book even without a trade but I would fee guilty.  So this week I took the plunge, downloaded the app that locates the little libraries and set out to trade some books during my walks!

Tuesday, I walked at the park downtown and went to two different Little Libraries. The first one I found a series of three books that looked interesting and the reviews on GoodReads seemed to be good too. There were some other good books in that one but I really wanted to make sure that I had enough books to swap at the other one that was down the street rom the park. For some reason I thought that I brought 5 books to swap but I only brought 4 but I did find a gem that I recently saw on IG that I wanted to read. Since I ran out of books (and time), I didn't get to visit a few other libraries in town so I will definitely be going back to check them out.

Yesterday, I walked at the park down the street from me but there wasn't anything that really caught my eye. I will keep checking though when I go back! I think the problem is that this one did not show up on the app.

I have been doing some planning research to make my own Little Free Library for the front yard. I actually have this project on my bucket list for the yea Our city Library sells premade ones for over $300 but I think I can make mine a lot cheaper since we have a wood stash. Just need to figure out the details!

Do you visit Little Free Libraries? Do you use the app?
