Reading Challenges (and other stuff)

Last night I officially completed my 50 Books for 2022 Challenge through the public library!!! I really enjoyed this challenge. They gave a $5 gift card (Amazon) once 15 books were read, $5 gift card (Starbucks) once 30 books were read and once you read 50 books you receive a coffee mug! Pretty cool! I do have to wait until June 1st to claim my final prize though but I am still happy to get it.

They also have these "Activities"...if you check off a specific amount in each section, your name does in a drawing to win additional prizes. I have these in my reading journal but need to update with the titles that I have read that qualify for each section. These prizes will not be drawn until January 2023 but it is really getting me to read outside of my normal genres.

I am also doing the 2022 Reading Challenge on GoodReads. My goal is 150 books for the year. I am currently at 56 books...yeah, there is a difference in book numbers only because some of the books that I read on Kindle Unlimited were short - more like chapters so I combined the "books" in the series as one larger book.

I am also doing a couple other reading challenges - the A to Z Challenge (titles starting with each letter in the alphabet) and Beat the Backlist Reading Challenge. I really need to spend some time and get my reading journal up to date so I can post pictures on here!!! I am really enjoying reading so many different books this year. :)

In the past week I have won 3 books  from the GoodReads book giveaways!!! All Kindle versions but free books nonetheless!!! The books that I won are: The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, Lying to Children by Alex Shahla & Jane Deyre by Nelle L'Amour.

In addition to my love for reading, I have started taking online classes through the library. I finished up the first one that I signed up for and received my certificate of completion this week. So much great information that I can use for my healthy living journey!!! Now I need to spend tomorrow catching up on my other three classes that I am taking.

AND I have two new ARC books that I am going to start!!! I picked them out today so once I finish reading them, I will post my review.
