Foggy Tuesday with some Books!

I should have taken a photo of the fogginess when I drove Ben to school this morning...it was pretty bad but it seems to be going away quickly. Today we are supposed to have severe thunderstorms and 88 degree weather. I am really looking forward to cooler temps! I LOVE fall weather here in Michigan!

I rushed and finished two books to return to the library yesterday...I love how they now automatically renew the books if there is now a request on the book but one of my books had a request. Jackie & I made plans to head to the library yesterday so Saturday I decided to try to finish a book that I wasn't terribly fond of and then Sunday morning I got a reminder text about my other books and realized that the one book wasn't going to be renewed. EEK! But I did end up getting both books finished and returned!
I really enjoyed this book! I was on the fence with which love language I speak and even had to take the quiz to see where I landed...I ended up with Words of Appreciation and Quality Time close behind. I would have though it would have been a flipped result but I have taken the quiz from the book and online with the same results!
I rushed to finish this book...I did have some troubles with this book which pushed me to get it done so I could return it. It is the first book in this series that I have read. The dialog is what bothers me...I feel like there is too much AND the repeating of names seemed excessive. Seriously,  if I was in person with these characters, I wouldn't be able to deal with the cheesiness! Jackie kept telling me to stop reading it but I am the type of person who has to finish a book once I start it.  😆

So what did I do? I checked out another book from the series! The very first book...I wanted to see if all of the series is cheesey or just that book. I ended up checking out 3 new books for myself and "Flowers in the Attic" for Jackie (she was limited to 3 books since she just got a new library card after a decade of not having one).
Here are two of the three books that I checked out. Debating on which one to start of these...I bought/finished a P.J. Parrish book while I was on Mackinac Island called "Heart of Ice" and really enjoyed it.The twists and turns were great! I am hoping "South of Hell" is just as good! I will post my reviews in here when I finish these books!

After the library,  Jackie & I picked up some lunch at Lipuma's Coney Island ( the best Coney Island in Michigab - in my opinion) and then walked to the park to have lunch together. It was nice & quiet! Really the first time that I have been there since school started so most of the kiddos are back in school.  There was still some remnants of the Arts & Apples festival that were being cleaned up but it was nice. Unfortunately  though the weather started to turn so we went to Starbucks to get our first Pumpkin Spice drinks of the season and then waited to pick Ben up from school.  It was a nice outing for us!

Lots to get accomplished today! Trying to make a schedule for myself is proving to be a little more difficult than anticipated!!!

Have a great Tuesday!❤
