Last Day of 44...

Man, I can't believe how fast this year is going by. I had such grand plans to keep this blog with updates of my health journey AND building my embroidery business.  While I have been so busy getting myself healthy, I just haven't really documented it online (besides in the 60 Days Stronger Facebook group). I have also been focusing on house stuff putting these things on the back burner BUT I am really hoping to fix this!!!

The other day while I was doing some deep cleaning around the house, I was listening to the Happier podcast and they talked about something that peaked my interest...a listener had given the idea of making a list of 35 things before she turned 35...and so Gretchen & Liz came up with the idea of "18 for 2018" (when I started listening to this podcast I went all the way back to the beginning). With my 45th birthday tomorrow, I thought this would be a perfect time to make a list of my own! But for me this will be 45 things to do while I am 45! They talked about his over a few different podcasts and even talked about things on listeners lists which was very inspiring. So the past few days, I have been compiling my list...I did look online to get some more ideas- I mean come on, 45 is a lot of things to list last minute! It was nice to see that people still are using this idea for yearly resolutions. Depending on how this year goes, I may continue doing this. There will always be the core things that I have already been focusing on since I started my healthy living journey at the beginning of the year. And even after I wrote my 45 things down, I thought of some more (I will probably change a few around when I type the list out on here).

So here is my list...45 of 45

In no particular order...

  1. Try a new recipe every week
  2. Exercise everyday 
  3. Eat in a Calorie Deficit - make healthy choices
  4. Family Movie night once a week
  5. Start a TikTok
  6. Read 2 books a month - 1 self development, 1 for fun
  7. Post on my blog more regularly
  8. Get my embroidery/sewing business going
  9. Date nights with my love.
  10. Weekly lunch date with Ben during his Senior Year
  11. Get better with meal planning/prep
  12. Make a Favorite Things Notebook
  13. Practice Gretchen Rubin's 1 Minute rule
  14. Clean/Organize/Purge in the basement
  15. Visit  some place new (monthly)
  16. Clean out my email inboxes - unsub from emails when needed
  17. Volunteer (monthly)
  18. Host more dinner parties
  19. Go to the movies (by myself)
  20. Get back into geocaching
  21. Make a bedtime routine - get more sleep
  22. Lunch/Dinner meet ups with my besties
  23. Daily Gratitudes/Journaling
  24. Learn another language (or relearn)
  25. Take a class
  26. Finishing my restoring project with the outdoor furniture
  27. Establish a consistent skin care routine
  28. Work on training Donovan 
  29.  Get pedicures
  30. Run/walk a 5K
  31. Weekly outings with Jackie
  32. Take photos daily
  33. Get back into scrapbooking
  34. Crochet again - finished unfinished projects (and projects promised)
  35. Post regularly on Instagram 
  36. Get my eyes tested
  37. Buy a new, properly fitting bra
  38. Update clothes as I continue to lose weight
  39. Continue healthy goals - measure myself bi-weekly
  40. Design more workout routines for myself
  41. Drink half my weight in oz of water everyday
  42. Say "I Love You" everyday to my loves
  43. Buy myself something special every month
  44. Do my nails weekly
  45. Make a Mini Library for the front yard

Overall, I think most of these are pretty doable in 365 days! I will post progress posts with pictures on here (and Instagram). I am excited to do this - I feel better than I have in a long time. I am so proud of what I have accomplished with my health so far this year!!!
