Man, I can't believe how fast this year is going by. I had such grand plans to keep this blog with updates of my health journey AND building my embroidery business. While I have been so busy getting myself healthy, I just haven't really documented it online (besides in the 60 Days Stronger Facebook group). I have also been focusing on house stuff putting these things on the back burner BUT I am really hoping to fix this!!!
The other day while I was doing some deep cleaning around the house, I was listening to the Happier podcast and they talked about something that peaked my interest...a listener had given the idea of making a list of 35 things before she turned 35...and so Gretchen & Liz came up with the idea of "18 for 2018" (when I started listening to this podcast I went all the way back to the beginning). With my 45th birthday tomorrow, I thought this would be a perfect time to make a list of my own! But for me this will be 45 things to do while I am 45! They talked about his over a few different podcasts and even talked about things on listeners lists which was very inspiring. So the past few days, I have been compiling my list...I did look online to get some more ideas- I mean come on, 45 is a lot of things to list last minute! It was nice to see that people still are using this idea for yearly resolutions. Depending on how this year goes, I may continue doing this. There will always be the core things that I have already been focusing on since I started my healthy living journey at the beginning of the year. And even after I wrote my 45 things down, I thought of some more (I will probably change a few around when I type the list out on here).
So here is my list...45 of 45!

- Try a new recipe every week
- Exercise everyday
- Eat in a Calorie Deficit - make healthy choices
- Family Movie night once a week
- Start a TikTok
- Read 2 books a month - 1 self development, 1 for fun
- Post on my blog more regularly
- Get my embroidery/sewing business going
- Date nights with my love.
- Weekly lunch date with Ben during his Senior Year
- Get better with meal planning/prep
- Make a Favorite Things Notebook
- Practice Gretchen Rubin's 1 Minute rule
- Clean/Organize/Purge in the basement
- Visit some place new (monthly)
- Clean out my email inboxes - unsub from emails when needed
- Volunteer (monthly)
- Host more dinner parties
- Go to the movies (by myself)
- Get back into geocaching
- Make a bedtime routine - get more sleep
- Lunch/Dinner meet ups with my besties
- Daily Gratitudes/Journaling
- Learn another language (or relearn)
- Take a class
- Finishing my restoring project with the outdoor furniture
- Establish a consistent skin care routine
- Work on training Donovan
- Get pedicures
- Run/walk a 5K
- Weekly outings with Jackie
- Take photos daily
- Get back into scrapbooking
- Crochet again - finished unfinished projects (and projects promised)
- Post regularly on Instagram
- Get my eyes tested
- Buy a new, properly fitting bra
- Update clothes as I continue to lose weight
- Continue healthy goals - measure myself bi-weekly
- Design more workout routines for myself
- Drink half my weight in oz of water everyday
- Say "I Love You" everyday to my loves
- Buy myself something special every month
- Do my nails weekly
- Make a Mini Library for the front yard
