Well it was a rocky start for my day...Our neighbor has chickens and over the past few months, a fox has killed two of them. In the middle of the night we heard screaming - it sounded like a human screaming...it took a few more screams for us to figure out that it was the chickens. So many emotions flowed through this house...sadness, shock, horror and just flat out pissed off! Seriously, this could totally be avoided but I am not going to get into that now. Ben & I went outside and didn't see anything. (Last time there was feathers ALL over the place but nothing this time)...we went back in the house but an hour later it was a repeat experience. Ben went out again only to find out that it was a raccoon sneaking into the chicken coop to grab their eggs. Thankfully all of the chickens are still alive! Because of all of this commotion, I barely got any sleep.
Once I had my morning coffee all was good! I decided that I was taking the day off from all of my regular routines...I straightened my hair, out make up on, put on one of my grandma's old dresses and did a little photo shoot in the backyard. I felt great! When my grandma passed away, I could not fit into her dresses but now they are big on me! Pure happiness!!!
My mother-in-law stopped by with a card/present and then Jackie made lunch for me before we ran out to get my FREE Starbucks and we swung by Crumbl cookies for my birthday dessert!!! I picked Thai food for my dinner. We hung out, watched some tv and just had a nice time!!!
Ken and the kids got me a compact elliptical exercise machine - it is amazing!!! And addicting! Jackie bought me a book that I have been wanting on Audible (Atomic Habits). I can't wait to listen to it! I also have some birthday cash - deciding if I want to buy some new clothes or a weighted hula hoop....decisions, decisions.
Here are some of the pictures from my day!!!
