Thankful Thursday!

The thing that I really love about the Barre Blend Program is that Elise (the instructor) gives Daily "I Am" Motivational cards. Today was "I am Centered"...meaning "being balanced and at peace, also being in a state of emotional/spiritual equilibrium". This is something that I have been working on since my collapse. I knew that I needed to make a change - the night that I collapsed I even told my family, that I needed to start eating healthy again. I didn't realize at the time that being "forced" to make that change would change so many other aspects of my life. It first started with changing my eating habits - following the low carb diet that my doctor recommended for me. Then it was adding exercise into the picture and other things have just started to snowball - getting back into reading (a self-help book), getting into a new skin routine, starting to change out of my comfy clothes and putting make-up on again when I leave the house. I just feel amazing!

These changes that I have already made are SO time consuming though...I need to figure out how to incorporate the rest of my everyday life (housework/laundry) and my embroidery business and still stay "centered". I am finding it to be a tad difficult but this is a learning curve for me. It is weird for me to be spending so much time focusing on myself. My husband and kids have been the center of my life for so long that I feel a little selfish focusing on myself now.

This week, I have bought myself a lot of goodies! Some new workout clothes, some new low carb foods to try out, a few new coffee mugs, some new make-up and skin care stuff. It feels amazing treating myself!!! I also bought a full length mirror so I can start taking progress photos!

Here are some of my new goodies...

new shirt...Still I Risenew workout pants & Barre socksnew lipstick!New chips (to me) to make this yummy low carb dinner...taco salad!

Along with the Beach Body program, I belong to a group called "2021 Vision". My Coach invited me to the group. At first I felt a little intimidated but I am finding my grove there too. Today a "Thankful Thursday" post was made where we need to list 5 things that we are thankful for today and here is my list:

1. My Family - they are being so patient and supportive of me and the changes that I am making!

2. Eating well & having access to foods that help me with keeping up with my low carb diet! I am doing pretty good...only a few slip ups.

3. FMLA - I am currently on leave from work. We are a high risk family for Covid, on top of some additional issues with my child so I need to be available for him...without FMLA, I am not sure how I could focus on all of my own new health needs.

4.  Beach Body! I am so glad that this was recommended to me on one of my Facebook posts! I started with 21 Day Fix and instantly became a fan! I absolutely love it and feel great! I am shocked with how well I am keeping up and how I have already seen changes!

5. Social Media! I have found so many great tips, recipes, exercises, foods, beauty products, etc. from Facebook, Instagram & TikTok!

I hope your Thursday was amazing and that you can also list 5 things that you are thankful for!
