WOW! This week has really gotten away from me! I feel like I have gotten so much accomplished but then I look around me and see clutter!!! I have been trying to catch up on housework stuff and trying to get some projects checked off my list while eating healthy, exercising and making a truly better life. If 2020 only taught us all one thing, it should be how everything can change in a blink of an eye...live each day the best you can. I know I have had some rough days, but I have really been trying to focus on the positive. It takes time - you didn't get to where you are overnight so it don't expect everything to be fixed overnight. I have to remind myself this - I absolutely hate being dependent on a medicine right now. I have changed my diet, started getting movement back into my life and started purging unnecessary stuff from my life...but sometimes, I just expect immediate change. That just isn't gonna happen! Some days are more productive than others but you just need to keep going!
Yesterday, I took the plunge and started my 14 day Free Trial for the Beach Body exercise program. It kicked my butt! I was so sore last night and holy cow, even more so this morning but as my good friend reminded me, "It is a good kind of hurting". I need to remember this as I try to get through my Day 2 of the 21 Day Fix! Wish me luck! :)
We also got out 3rd box from Hello Fresh yesterday! Oh my GOODNESS!!! These dinners look amazing. I mean, I realize Jackie & I picked them out but WOW!!! I am pretty excited for these!!! Here is what came in the box...
It was also a big week for me getting some results from my tests that I had last week! My Stress Test came back negative which means they did not find anything wrong with my heart. YAY! So I asked to get the heart monitor removed after 8 of the 14 days that I was supposed to wear it. Thankfully I got the ok to take it off...it wasn't terrible but just really annoying. The dogs and cats like to snuggle so they were constantly pushing it into my chest. So I am sending it back and I get to wait for those results as well as the results from my Carotid Scan. Another good thing that I have been noticing that m resting heart rate has been going down into the 60's...which is normal for most people but apparently, I have an elevated heart rate and according to the cardiologist the only way to get that lower is by exercise and losing weight. The cool thing about this is that I can see that my life changes are working!
Today will be filled with errands...my list continues to grow but I do like to get it done in one day. I will be working on my next Recipe Makeover too! Ken is planning to make his homemade pizza for them tonight so I think this will be a perfect opportunity for me to work on a recipe that I would like!!! I know that they are not always fond of some of the low carb foods that I have been making but at least they are willing to try (for the most part).
Have a fabulous day!
