Every Duke Has His Day • NetGalley

Book Review

What a super cute book! It is the first that I have read by Suzanne Enoch and I can’t wait to check out her other books!

Elizabeth “Bitsy: Dockering is a 19 year old socialite who had her fair share of suitors. The main suitor being Peter Cordray who has serious issues with Bitsy’s dog, a black poodle named Galahad. Galahad just does not like anything about Peter and his disdain makes Bitsy leery about the possible courtship/marriage. Michael Bromsley (Duke of Loriton) is a 28 year old scientist who is not a social person at all. He would rather work on his experiments any day of the week. His Aunt is going out of town and asks him to watch her dog Lancelot (who is also a black poodle).

Michael & Elizabeth have a chaotic run-in at the dog park. In all of the commotion, they end up accidentally swapping dogs. Little do they know that Peter has made plans to dog-nap Galahad and Lancelot is the one stolen instead. Michael & Elizabeth work together to find the dogs and who was responsible for the theft and bring them to justice.

There are lots of twists and turns in this book. I really enjoyed the story itself but I feel like we really didn’t get to know much about the person that Elizabeth was. I thought that Michael was a great character and maybe it was because he was older of the two and more mature?

This was a quick, fun book to read. Not my typical genre but very enjoyable. I did really enjoy the connection between Michael & Elizabeth! I found myself laughing throughout the book.
