𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Cameron, a 22 year old college student is madly in love with her (dead) father’s best friend. Both of her parents died when she was 17 years old and she went to live with Everett (the best friend) and his wife. Everett always held a special place in Cam’s heart and as she got older those feelings turned to desire. Everett, who is 46, is now divorced and is taking a break from his job as an attorney to coach his son’s baseball team. Not only do they live in the same house, they now work together. There is nowhere to hide their true feelings

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐝:

• Stunning book cover!

• Great romance with some suspense/mystery thrown in the mix - absolutely love this combo!

• Lots of secrets to keep you guessing!

• Great character development - especially with Cameron’s career goals

• I loved the bonds between these characters with the side characters. What a great support system

• Fantastic word building

• The “Lauren” twist

• Love a good slow burn!

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐃𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞:

• The Age Gap was a little much for me. I am around the same age as Everett with kids the same age as Cameron. So for me, it had a little “ick” factor at times (mostly in the beginning)

• Stormy - for me she was just so shady the whole time. I was confused as to why Cameron didn’t ask more questions when she made crazy comments or avoided questions

While I did have issues with this big of an age gap, I thought this book was very well written. The way that L.A. wrote it really took the focus off of their ages (at least for me) to focus more on the romance itself. I loved all of the twists and turns but at times I feel like there were too many secrets to keep up with.
