In the Weeds is book 2 of the Lovelight Farms Series by B.K Borison. It is such a cute, sweet romance that can be read as a stand-alone.
This book is about Beckett and Evie’s happily ever after. He works at Lovelight Farms and she was a social media influencer. The first time they met they were both out of town for work where they had a fling to be remembered that ended with them both going their separate ways. What a surprise to them both when Evie was showcasing Lovelight Farms for an online contest and ran into Beckett! It was awkward for them both…but being on the farm near Beckett, Evie realized that she was not truly happy. She decided to take a break from all things social media..a break to find her happiness…but she finds a whole lot more than she anticipated!
I loved the gossipy supporting characters. I loved the cute animals and how Beckett was a sucker for them. This book was filled with great banter & lots of angst. There was great chemistry between the MC’s.
While I did enjoy this book and the characters, I felt like something was missing with the plot. Maybe it was miscommunication or rather a lack of communication. Maybe it was the 3rd act break-up. It just fell a little flat for me. That being said, I do look forward to reading the next book.
