The Art of Falling in Love With the Movie Star • Anne Kemp

Book Review:

What a sweet, heartwarming Holiday Romance! This is book 3 of Anne Kemp’s Sweetkiss Creek Series and it can be read as a standalone. T is the first book that I have read by her and I absolutely loved it!

Spencer & Amelia are married but they are struggling. They had an agreement where they would focus on Spencer's career for a specific amount of time and then they would settle in Sweetkiss Creek to start a family.  Unfortunately, Spencer did not follow through with his end of the deal and ended up separated from Amelia for a year. Amelia took some desperate measures and filed for divorce.

Amelia’s aunt passed away leaving them her beloved RV - The Dream Chaser. They set off to Florida with the sweet pup, Barney to pick up the RV but here’s the kicker…Aunt Hattie planned out a scavenger hunt to pick up some of her cherished items. Along the way, they met some amazing people, had some touching moments as well as a few not so great ones (like dropping the keys in the waste drain). But in the end, it made them realize what the next steps were in their relationship.

This book is filled with banter, tension and lots of arguing but shows that true love is worth fighting for. I adored Spencer & Amelia - although Amelia annoyed me at times, they were such a great team! There was such character development throughout the book (even with some of the side characters *cough cough* like Spencer’s dad). I loved the found family of Sweetkiss Creek and also the people they met on their road trip. The live nativity was probably one of my favorite parts of the book when Spencer had his “come to Jesus” moment.

I will certainly be going back to read the previous books and I cannot wait to see what’s next!
