“Beautiful, stunning, prickly Maisie. Woman of my dreams. Goddess of my heart. When I first saw you in the pub, my entire world shifted, and then righted once more. You were like a hurricane, knocking my ship off course, only to discover that maybe you set me in the right direction all along.” π
Another lovely addition to The Enchanted Highlands Series (book 3) by Tricia O’Malley! This book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the first two books! They are great!
Weston is a hunky, book nerdy, Literature Professor who decided to go to Loren Brae, Scotland over winter break. While on vacation, West plans on enjoying the Loren Brae Book Festival. On his first night there he gets pulled into Trivia Night at The Tipsy Thistle, where he meets Maisie. It was love at first sight for him! Maisie is Agnes' cousin who has come to town to help with the book festival. She is a struggling author (who works at the post office) and is known as the Quiz Night Queen. She doesn’t care for West at first but the more that he is around, helping with the festival, her feelings start to change. It all comes to a head when a blizzard comes dumping a massive amount of snow and they are snowed in together…add in a steamy hot tub and a cozy fireplace and the sparks begin to fly!
This is such a wonderfully, cozy romance that is perfect for the holiday season. There’s definite Hallmark Christmas movie vibes!
What I Love…
✨️ The Book B¡tches
✨️ Clyde the Ghost Coo & Brice the Broonie(our heroes)
✨️ Trivia Night, Gingerbread House Decorating, the Book Festival (I want to visit Loren Brae)
✨️ Sir Buster & Lady Lola - dogs dressed in kilts
The only thing that I would have liked to see in this book would have been another member of the Order of Caledonia revealed but I still loved this fun, whimsical love story.
