Tempting the Player Book Review (Valentine PR)

𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰

What a fantastic, quick read! This is book 4 in Rebecca Jenshak's Campus Wallflower Series but can be read as a stand-alone. I look forward to going back to read the books I missed in this series.

At the end of book 3, Jane reveals to her college campus that she was the famous Ivy Greene from a popular TV show. This brought her sudden popularity on campus as well as a possible stalker & threats.  Unknowingly, her parents hired a bodyguard for her. In "runs" Hendrick, a hunky, (ex) pro-football player, bodyguard. Jane had been noticing him around campus and he seemed to appear whenever she needed help. It is soon revealed that he has been protecting her from afar this whole time.

I love these characters so much! Their chemistry was insane! Jane is such a fun MC! She is such a strong, energetic, happy FMC! Hendrick is so stoic - he has had to make some tough decisions in the past when it came to his younger brothers not realizing that he was missing out on being a family. I adored how the Holland brothers were fiercely protective of Jane and welcomed her into their home with open arms. Both of these characters had totally different childhood struggles and it was lovely to see that with each other, they could move on to find happiness.

Rebecca is a “newish to me” author. I am so happy that I stumbled upon her work this year! I love her writing style, her character development is spot on and it feels like I am right there with the characters! This book had the perfect amount of witty banter, spice and tension! I enjoyed the suspense thrown in this book. I thought that I figured out who it was only to be surprised that I was wrong! I would highly recommend this series!
