Omg! I was gifted this book earlier this year and honestly, I could kick myself that I waited so long to read it! It was fantastic and a favorite read of August (and of 2023!).
I really loved everything about this book! Lachlan and Olivia are such a great book couple! Their banter is probably the best that I have read in a while! The chemistry between them was fabulous. I could feel the sparks flying off the pages!
I do think that Olivia should have stuck up for herself with her boss. I did find that whole relationship annoying. The whole “you owe me” situation was a little over the top. Ugh,and trying to get her to come in while she was sick…what an awful person. But regardless, this book was extremely well written so it did not take away from my love for the book.
I absolutely love Grandma Sylvie and Aunt Frannie - they had me laughing out loud! Olivia’s sisters were great side characters too! I would love to visit her sister's book store!
This book was SO good that I binged it a day. I will definitely be reading more of Jenny’s books!
