What a great enemies to lovers romance! This book is loaded with great bantering between Max and Sophia! I found myself laughing out loud so many times throughout this book!
Sophia is excited to have found a great apartment at a great price until she meets Max, the hot Landlord with a serious attitude problem. Little does she know, he is just protecting his best friend, Jack (who happens to be her new roommate). Max is from an elite family but thankfully outside influence growing up (Jack's family) to show him what was truly importantโฆthus the over-protective attitude Max has for him.
They quickly become entangled in each other's lives and the more they get to know each other that bitterness seems to disappearโฆexcept when Max steals her fancy chocolates! While their backgrounds are completely opposite, they are both broken in their own way but they realize just how much they have in common.
I loved these characters. Sophia was a little annoying to me at times but it is clearly understandable the hoarder environment that she grew up in. Max definitely started out as a bully but I just loved the soft-caring side of him when he gave into his feelings for Sophia.

I really look forward to reading more books by Jules. Her writing made me feel all of the feels. I enjoyed the strong FMC who was dealt a bad hand and truly overcame all of the challenges! I hope to see more of Jack & Elise's story!
