Title: Just My Type

Author: Falon Ballard

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My Thoughts:

What an absolute joy to read! I think what made it even better for me is that I could totally relate to the Lana & Seth relationship since my husband & I are also high school sweethearts who found our way back to each other. Sometimes you just never get over your first love!

Lana & Seth were best friends since grade school who started dating in high school. They  made all of these grand plans for their future together that fell through because of his pride. Fast forward 12 years and Seth is back, this time competing with Lana for their dream job. Their boss sets up a challenge with tasks that each has to complete and their readers will decide who the winner will be for this coveted job! Some tasks were easy, some harder, some they had to do together and some were solo but they kept finding themselves right back where they started…with each other.

This book is filled with some of my favorite tropes - friends to lovers turned enemies to lovers, second chance romance & workplace romance just to name a few. It is fun and is just loaded with wonderful characters and a great setting. This book is full of banter with several laugh out loud moments. And then there was the miscommunication that was just heartbreaking to me. .

While there were a few times that I thought this book was predictable, it didn’t matter because I just loved it so much!  It was a quick read - I just couldn’t put it down because I wanted to see how they were each going to tackle their list of challenges! It was so good to see them get the happily ever after that they deserved.

I am giving this book a 4.5 star but rounding up because for me it was just so relatable.

Thank you to NetGalley, Penguin Group Putnam and Falon Ballard for the Advanced Readers copy of this book for my honest opinion!
