Title: The Recipe of You and Me

Author: Claire Considine

My Rating: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

My Thoughts:

I absolutely love the cover of this book! So, so cute! I really love books that are baking/cooking related but this one just wasn’t the right fit for me. I do think that the story really had a lot of potential – billionaires romance, enemies to lovers are some of my favorite tropes (I would call this one strangers to lovers though).

This book gave me whiplash! The way that Lexi reacted/talked to Enzo, the way they go out and end up changing their plans to another location (so many times). The story was truly all over the place. I had to go back and read a few times because I was sure that I missed something.  The miscommunication was too much.

I did enjoy Enzo! I found myself reading his dialog with an Italian accent.  I would have loved to see his point of view in this story so that the lack of communication would have made a little more sense. I wasn’t a fan of Lexi but I did enjoy the bantering with her roommates - their friendships seem really solid. While the ending was good, I found  myself wanting more.

Thank you to BookSirens and Claire Considine for the Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
