My Thoughts:

This book is the first that I have read by Evie Alexander. I didn’t notice that it was the 4th book in the series. I thought the cover was fun when I requested it. It can definitely be read as a standalone.

I absolutely LOVED this book! I was laughing so much that my dog kept giving me looks! Everything about this book was fantastic…the characters, the location and the story itself!

Sam is a soap opera actress that wants a bigger, better career. She decided to go to Kinloch, Scotland to visit her best friend who is helping a big American movie producer, Brad Bauer with Braveheart 2. Sam thinks she can work her magic with Brad and convince him to help boost her career. What she isn’t banking on is the feelings she immediately has for Jamie - a stunning 27 year old (secret) virgin who has never even kissed a woman.

Jamie is an electrician who writes/sings music in his free time. He is head over heels for Sam from first sight. Sam happens to be staying at his mothers home (where he still lives) so they cannot avoid each other. When Sam meets Brad she gets tongue-tied and commits to writing a soundtrack for his movie. She seeks Jamie out to help with the songs –it starts out awkward but turns into something special.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this small town rom-com! I love that Jamie read his sister's romance novels to make up for his lack of experience with women. This book is full of ups and downs - with Sam’s past health issues, her working with a scumbag actor, her job uncertainty, their musical success, their happily-ever-after.

I will be going back and reading the rest of this series!
