My Thoughts:
This was my first book that I have read by Lizzie Morton and I can honestly say that it will not be the last! I really enjoyed this slow-burn, best friends to lovers, rock-star romance!
This book is a dual POV between Sophie and Sam. They have been best friends since Sam came to live with his Aunt & Uncle after his father’s death when he was 10. Little do they know, it was love at first sight for both of them but it took twenty years for them to fully acknowledge what that meant. Sam is struggling to find his voice on stage and Sophie is struggling to find the person she is meant to be. Through all of their ups and downs they seem to be the answer to each other's struggles!
It really is a great story with great characters! I love how they all have a long history together - they are very relatable. The only ones that I really don’t care for are the ones that Sam & Sophie are dating to avoid what was happening between them. This book has a lot of laugh out loud moments and also a lot of heartfelt moments. I adore how caring Sophie is with Russ and all of the “Sing to Heal” charity that she leads. Sam is the knight in shining armor!
This is the first book in a new series and I really cannot wait to read the next one!!!
