What a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood!

 WOW! A beautiful, sunny 77 degree day today!!! The windows have been open since early this morning and the cats have been enjoying hanging out watching the critters outside! I was even able to get a few loads of laundry out on the clothes line. I just LOVE the smell of clothes that dry out in the fresh air!!!

I started out my day with getting some blood work done after dropping the kiddo off to school. And then I came home and had a pretty decent sized breakfast since I had to fast. Next week I have an appointment with my doctor so hoping for good results! I did weigh myself today and I am down another two pounds (17 total now since my episode at the end of December) and on Friday I measured myself at the end of Phase 3 of the Barre Blend and I lost another 3 inches (total of 14.75 inches since the end of January). How exciting!!! Can't wait to hear what the doctor has to say about my progress.

I got some good workouts in today and walked around the park three times today. I worked out for a total of 2 hours today! It felt great! The park was just packed with people. After all that we have been through with the whole pandemic, it was great seeing so many people in one outdoor place. Kids running around, people feeding the ducks...it was all great to see!

Today, I finished The Happiness Project...I will do more updates on that later. I really need to start working on the April Goals next. I have been so busy focusing on my challenges and getting my exercise in that I have put that on the back burner. Next I need to decide which  of Gretchen's book's that I want to start reading next. I also ordered a few other books! They should be here later this week!

Something I have been struggling with is my eating - I started using a new app (My Fitness Pal) to track my food intake since I am focusing on my calories more but I have also decided to try to incorporate the Beach Body 21 Day Portion Control Program so I ordered some of the containers off Amazon today. I feel like it will really help me keep track of my portions. I already weigh everything out but I don't really keep track of how many fruits, how many veggies...this way with the color coded containers, I will be able to focus on that. I will review this program once I get the kit and use it for a bit. I am pretty excited about it.

(Thai Chili Mango Chopped Salad)(BBQ chicken, steamed broccoli,  sweet mini peppers, low carb pita with spinach artichoke dip) Gotta love leftovers!
