Lots of new stuff to update on!!! I signed up to do the American Cancer Society - Cancer Research 40 Mile Walk (for the month of April). Since I walk daily, I figured that I would walk for a good cause! Also on April 1st, I am starting a 60 Day Stronger Challenge! I stumbled upon this on TikTok and had to wait for the newest challenge to start. For this challenge you have to do 5 things daily. You get a point for each item (each day) and there are winners at the end of the challenge. I am really doing this for accountability most of all! If you would like to join along with me, you can find the Facebook Group here. I will also add a link on the sidebar here on my blog.
Here are the 5 things that you have to do for this challenge...
- Hydrate! half your body weight in ounces or a gallon (whichever comes first).
- Exercise - at least an hour a day (can be broken up in 2- 30 minute exercises)
- Meal Plan - stick to a healthy meal plan regime throughout the whole 60 days. No cheating.
- Gratitude - Write down 3-5 things that you are grateful for each day. Keep a gratitude journey;
- Self Growth - do one (or both) of the following a day...read 10 pages of a self development or self-help book OR Spend 10-15 minutes a day writing in a personal journal.
I think that is pretty do-able! I am pretty excited for the challenge! Also today, my BeachBody coach sent out a group message for a new program with BB called 30 Day Breakaway. It is a 30 day prep program so that you can run a 5K at the very end! I did watch the prep videos and read through most of the program information...I am not much of a runner but I may give this a try. I just finished my Phase 3, Week 5 of the Barre Blend program. I am going to sleep on it tonight and see how I feel in the morning before making any decisions. I am not much of a runner but this program looks pretty good! I may even do a little practicing too!!!
I have been having some struggles with my diet...I am making a change from low carb to focusing on my calorie intake (deficit). Tomorrow I am really going to focus on the meal prep and start the week out right!!!
