Seriously...I have deleted so many partial posts on here that I have started and just didn't publish. I really need to get better at this! I did start this post the Wednesday but I am finishing it up today!
This past week has been a rough one...kiddo in quarantine, I had a little accident which has led me to a black eye and a project taking longer than expected. Funny how a few little things can just mess with your motivation!
Yesterday was a beautiful spring like day here so after almost a week, I decided to head to the park to get some walking in. That was exactly what I needed! That walk brought me back to center and gave me such motivation! It got me thinking about where I was, where I wanted to be and how I needed to tweak a few things to get there.
That stuff was from Wednesday. I really wanted to go for another walk on Thursday but the wind was just too much for me. Didn't want to end up with wind burned cheeks on top of a black eye. ๐ But I did get some more work done in the sewing room. The cool thing about redoing/reorganizing is that you find things that you forgot that you had! Ken had gotten me this electric rotary cutter last year for a holiday (not sure which one) and it has really come in handy for cutting some of the vinyl and felt into more manageable pieces. It was fun to learn to use and it certainly has cut the time down! I have binned up most of my yarn to take downstairs. Part of me is really sad about that but I know once I get the basement cleaned out and we finish it, I will have a yarn room down there.
And I did it again!!! Not finishing my post! UGH! (It is now Sunday)
Friday I finished out my Phase 2 of the Barre Blend Program. So I weighed myself and took my measurements. Took some comparison photos too and could not believe the difference!!! HOLY COW! I lost 2 more pounds since my last Sunday weigh in and lost 3.5 inches in two weeks in Phase 2 of m program! Total of 15 pounds since I started this journey and 11.75 inches since starting Beach Body (at the end off January)!!! I honestly started to cry when I looked at the difference in these photos. I was SO worried that I was not going to see any changes. Honestly, it all stems from missing a day of my exercise last week (and multiple days of not walking). I am SO HAPPY!!!
Today (Sunday), I got my 2nd dose of the Covid Vaccine. I did want to be proactive and did my Monday workout on Saturday. I was hoping to walk the park as well but I ended up walking around shopping instead. I did not realize that there would be an increase in workout time. That with the intensity increase really kicked my butt! That and the fact that I waited until 8pm to do it!!! But I am so glad that I did. This morning after I had my vaccine, I went to the park and walked around two times. It was lovely...still early enough not to be crowded. But people were starting to fill the parking lot as I was leaving. It was so peaceful!
This vaccine hurt more than the first one - Ken thinks because I have lost fat that it didn't have that extra cushion. Not sure but it was feeling better aby the time my 15 minute wait time was over. However, my arm and neck did start hurting faster than the last dose. My back was aching a bit too but it really could have been from exercising too. I ended up passing out on the couch for a few hours but when I woke up I did have a lot of energy. From what I have seen/read, most of the side effects start later in the day/overnight and on the second da. I am really hoping that this is the worst of it - tomorrow is supposed to be a beautiful day and I don't want to waste it feeling like crap...even though I know this is just the start of the beautiful weather, it is such a shame to waste any of it! I am just thankful to be fully vaccinated! As far as I know, I haven't had Covid and I am glad that it will stay that way...even though Ken thinks the four of us have had it at one time in the past year (I find it hard to believe that none of us have had symptoms).
Anyhow, I am really trying to get on schedule for myself...I need to get a routine. I have some some new things I want to share (new health challenge that I am starting, new eating changes, updates with the Happiness Project, etc). I will share more later on that and get back to my food reviews as well as back on track with recipe makeovers!
Have a blessed Sunday!
